City Meet information, heat sheet, gear vendor on-site
The 2022 City Meet is almost here!
Important information on the meet is below, including on a special opportunity we have with a gear vendor coming to this event.
Date: Saturday, September 24
Location
Northeast Pool
1100 NE 14th St

Athlete Timeline (Swimmers and Divers)
Optional tech suit fitting start time: 11:00 am (see details below)
Arrive no later than: 11:45 am
Meet start: 1:00 pm
Approximate end time: 4:00 pm
Chick-fil-A meals will be provided for athletes and coaches at the end of the meet!
Apparel and What to Bring
- Athletes should wear their black 2022 team shirt to school Friday to get in the spirit!
- Athletes should wear their black 2022 team shirt and TENNIS SHOES to the meet. No flip flops or slides!
- Black team suits must be worn for the competition by swimmers and divers. Team caps must be worn if you wear a cap.
- Athletes should bring folding chairs and we will have team tents set up for shade. We are expecting to have team tents outside of the pool area for this meet.
- Athletes should bring their own snacks and drinks, and the team will supplement with fruit, water, and Gatorade. The meet is longer than a typical weeknight competition and the pool deck will be hot, so athletes should bring plenty of liquids to stay hydrated.
- Athletes are to use the locker room restrooms. Parents are to use the restrooms in the park.

Events
The heat sheet is attached. Relay line-ups will be communicated at the meet by the coaches.
TYR Vendor On SIte at Meet
The team’s TYR gear vendor will be on site with suits, goggles, and other swim and dive gear for sale, and for tech suit fittings. This fitting opportunity will only be available from 11:00 am to approximately 2:00 pm, so swimmers should plan to try on suits before the meet begins if they wish to do so. The vendor is offering discounted pricing on tech suits for Buchholz swimmers.
Tech suits are specialized competition suits that provide compression and repel water. For high school swimmers, tech suits can be worn at the District, Regional, and State meets, but it is not required to purchase and wear one.

City Meet volunteers, entry report
Good afternoon Bobcats!
The 2022 City Meet is this Saturday so here is some preliminary information!
Location: Northeast pool
Warm-ups begin (swim and dive): 12:00 pm
Meet begins: 1:00 pm

Buchholz vs. PK Yonge and Union County HS meet results
Good morning Bobcats!
Attached please find the results from last evening’s meet with PKY and Union County HS. Buchholz boys and girls came out on top, beating both other schools! Congratulations to all participating swimmers and divers on a great team effort!!

2022 BHS championship meets, booster club board elections
Hello Bobcat families!
The high school swimming and diving season is short, so we want to share details on the end-of-season championship meets, and remind you about the booster club board nominations for 2023-2024 officers.
End-of-Season Meets
These meets are for selected (Districts) or qualifying (Regionals, State) swimmers and divers only; athletes will be notified if they will be on the team roster for these meets. Swimmers and divers are expected to participate in District, Regional, and State meets if they are on the team rosters – the coaches count on them to represent the team and the school! When school is missed for these meets, absences are excused.
District Meets:
Diving
Date and Location: TBD
Districts divers will travel on their own to the meet site.
Swimming
Date: October 20, 2022
Location: Planet Swim and Tennis Club, 300 Davis Park Rd., Ponte Vedra, FL 32081
Districts swimmers will travel together to the meet site via charter bus. The bus will leave from Buchholz at 7:30 am, and will return swimmers to Buchholz after the meet.
Parents will need to travel to the meet site on their own. Buchholz is hosting the swim meet so we will need volunteer timers – watch for the announcement and please sign up to help! There is an admission fee for this meet, so volunteering gets you in for free!

Location: Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training, 4635 SW 67th Ave Road, Ocala, Fl 34476
Qualifying divers and their parents will travel on their own to the meet site.
Swimming
Date: October 29, 2022

State Meet:
Diving and Swimming
Date: November 5, 2022
Location: Sailfish Splash Waterpark and Aquatics Center, 931 SE Ruhnke Street, Stuart, FL 34994
Qualifying swimmers and divers and their parents will travel on their own to the meet site.
2023-2024 Booster Club Board Nominations
This year is the second in the 2-year term for all of the current booster club board members, so we are seeking nominations for officer positions for the next term. Board positions and current position holders are:
